Top quality hotel that has amazing views from the rooms. The quality of food was wonderful as was the hotel rate. I had a clean and comfortable stay at Sea Valley Chalets. There is a lot to do in the local area like woodland walks and fishing. We had one of the best rooms with a panoramic sea view that was the icing on the cake. The facilities are good and they have an onsite bar- always a bonus. This former Victorian Gentlemanâ¬"s Residence sounds very grand, but that is only the building, this family-run guest house is intimate and comfortable and great for a family getaway, when I came they were even accommodating well behaved family pets. Rooms are clean, classic and traditional with some of the most breathtaking views. For something different we had a weekend away on a houseboat in Bideford which turned out to be a great break.

The houseboat is absolutely luxurious, nicer than we were expecting actually, it even had LCD TV and the internet. Steve and Sarah who own the boat are lovely people and really welcoming.

The houseboat is moored in Bideford harbour and itâ¬"s about a 5 minute walk into the town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time aboard and it was a refreshing change from the usual mundane hotels.For something different we had a weekend away on a houseboat in Bideford which turned out to be a great break.

Choose from 2 roasts of the day with yummy steamed veg, ham egg and chips, sausage and mash, plaice and chips, lasagne or a vegetarian strogonoff. Finish off with a wide choice of desserts.
The special is available for both lunch or dinner. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was amazing, beautiful bathroom and decor is very stylish. I recently stayed at Yeoldon House Hotel and also dined in Soyers restaurant, hence I can wholeheartedly recommend this unique country hotel for its warm welcome, excellent level of service and the exceptional food that was served in the restaurant. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our stay so much that we subsequently arrange for many of the guests at our recent wedding to stay at Yeoldon House Hotel. All of them commented that the rooms, level of service and atmosphere was excellent, which really helped to make our wedding day one that will be fondly remembered by all.
